Strengthening Mechanisation Support for Smallholder Farmers

Ghana’s food system is powered by smallholder farmers whose work sustains markets and communities nationwide. Farmers’ Day provides an opportunity to honour their efforts and renew commitments to their progress.To mark this year’s celebration, we donated two power tillers with full attachments to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture. This contribution deepens collaboration between the private sector and government, helping deliver practical benefits to farmers across the country.The gesture also aligns with our mission to advance Ghana’s food security agenda. As agriculture modernises, many smallholder farmers still lack access to mechanisation. Expanding this access remains a crucial step toward improving productivity, efficiency, and long-term resilience.The African Agribusiness Consortium extends appreciation to the Honourable Minister, the Chief Director, and the ministry’s leadership for their continued support.
